My nephew in Liverpool used to call him Fawksey too, before I even knew that was his name. Watched the news alone tonight, forty since I first saw him on the telly at my aunt's house. A fire, in Wallasey, with his dog beside him. Terrible.

My mother rang me about this, said she had Madame Wolfgang's book on medieval French in her pile from Penn. 91. I never read it but she keeps it on the shelf still.

My father went the same way, complications from dementia, so seventy nine hits different. He held that British featherweight title in 1969, half point nights they called it, and now this. Hard to read.
