My mother in law is Austrian and she called me the morning it was on ORF, just to tell me. She always said Kdolsky was the one who stood up in parliament in 2007 and actually talked about safer sex in schools when nobody else would touch it. 63. That stuck with me all day, just a plain number.

Ninety years serving the Church, most of it in the hardest places. The Synod of 2010 piece I read showed a man thinking deeply about unity. We need more like him.

Read his bread book years ago. The way he wrote about peasant food and memory stuck with me. A real person who lived what he taught.
