okay so this is going to sound strange but I only found out who Shakuntala was because of a food documentary, one of those Netflix things about street food in Mumbai that had this random detour into an old theatre district and there was a clip of her dancing, just her eyes doing all the work, and I could not stop thinking about it for days, went down a whole rabbit hole reading about Sangeet Bari after that. I never got to see her actually perform live obviously, I live in Maryland, but that quote of hers about fear being the biggest disease stuck with me and I actually wrote it on a post it on my monitor. anyway. 66 is not old. sorry if this is rambling, I don't really know why I'm this affected by someone I only saw once in a ten minute clip
