For Reuben Fasoranti · 4d ago

My mother called from Oregon with this, of all the names to come up on a Tuesday afternoon call about nothing. I only knew him from reading around Awolowo's old Action Group, one name in a lot of footnotes. A hundred years old and still the one everyone called the elder. Rare to get that far and still be the steady one.

For John Packer · 10d ago

My mum called me when she saw this, she used to write to her MP about asylum stuff because of a speech he gave in the Lords and she never forgot it. Eighty years old and it was his birthday. Didn't know much about bishops before that clip did the rounds but I get why she cried a bit.

Red Djinn chairs. 1968. Still the best looking space station ever built.

For Thomas W. Ventulett III · 29d ago

Never been to a single one of these convention centers, honestly don't know what to say. Just weird realizing a lot of the big empty civic spaces that host CES type stuff came out of one guy's firm.

For Duda Alves · 17 Sept 2026

just watched that last tiktok going around, the one about people commenting on her body. five days before. christ.

For Owen Ndlovu · 15 Sept 2026

He stood up for musicians when nobody else would touch it. The royalty battles, the SAMRO rows, the Summer Song mess, all of it showed he meant what he said. South African media needed more of that.

For Mary Gaudron · 13 Sept 2026

First woman QC in NSW and she had to share a room because no one would sell her chambers. That's the Australia she was born into. She changed it anyway.

For John Pickles · 6 Sept 2026

John Pickles turned megamixes into chart gold. Not many people can say they changed how DJs work, but he actually did it.

For Slobodan Snajder · 6 Sept 2026

Read Croatian Faust in translation years ago and kept wondering why it wasn't everywhere. Now I know: the argument never stopped, which probably means it mattered.

For Shinichi Abe · 5 Sept 2026

Two sons who became musicians, a dad who drew the life they actually lived. Not a bad legacy in a world that usually wants you to lie about everything.

For Prichard Colón · 20 Aug 2026

Six foot tall with dreams to match. Watched him come up and thought we'd see something special. The system failed him, but his spirit didn't.

Exactly. He brought something of his own to it every single time.
