Was just scrolling her page last night, boots and all, had no idea. 25. That's it. That's the whole number.

Taylor Rousseau Grigg was an American TikTok and Instagram lifestyle creator whose country-western look, marriage updates, faith talk, and Texas humour reached more than 1.4 million followers. She turned everyday errands, boutique finds, and life with her husband and dog into short videos that felt like a running conversation with friends. When she died at 25, outlets from TODAY to The Washington Post treated her story as a public reminder of how asthma and Addison's disease can become fatal even for a young person who still seemed present online.
She was born Taylor Brooke Rousseau on 8 September 1999 in Amarillo, Texas, and grew up in the Texas Panhandle and Hill Country world that later coloured her feed: boots, turquoise, rhinestones, and small-town pride. She graduated from Tulia High School. As a teenager she wanted to act and model. Her first jobs included managing social media for a real estate firm before she began building her own brands in her early twenties.
By 2019 she had opened the online boutique Geaux Sauvage, followed by Sauvage beauty products and, with Cameron Grigg, a mobile bar venture often styled The Party Crasher. On TikTok under @itstaylorrousseau she mixed haul videos, marriage and pet clips, and Christian language with a polished Western aesthetic. Interviews and podcast appearances, including a 2023 Beauty Babes Unfiltered conversation about how she and Cameron met, and a 2021 Everything Rodeo sit-down filmed around the National Finals Rodeo, showed a creator comfortable talking about both work and romance on camera.
She and Cameron Grigg connected in 2021 after she messaged him on Instagram and he answered with a public TikTok asking her on a date. They began dating that year, he proposed beside a lake in June 2022, and they married on 19 August 2023 in Fredericksburg, Texas. Their posts often featured their American Pit Bull Terrier and the couple's shared Texas lifestyle. Cameron later said she had been in and out of hospital for much of their married year.
In an 8 August 2024 TikTok she told followers she had once been athletic but no longer felt healthy, that she had gotten sick after the wedding, and that doctors had only recently given her a lasting diagnosis she preferred not to name in public. She said she felt she was fighting for life every day and that ordinary tasks such as carrying a suitcase or walking to the mailbox had become hard. On 26 September 2024 she posted what major outlets later identified as her final TikTok, a short clip after a veterinary visit.
She died on 4 October 2024. A family representative told TODAY.com the cause was complications from asthma and Addison's disease, a rare adrenal condition that can trigger life-threatening crisis when cortisol is too low. Cameron announced the sudden loss on Instagram on 5 October, writing that she had endured more pain than most people face in a lifetime and had still remained a light to others. He said her body was being kept viable for organ donation; representatives confirmed her organs were donated for pediatric patients. Funeral images he later shared showed cowboy boots and white roses around her casket. A GoFundMe noted the financial strain of her illness. She was 25.
Taylor Rousseau Grigg left a large digital archive, a Texas entrepreneurial streak, and a public conversation about young adult chronic illness that continued in newsrooms after her death. Friends and followers remembered humour, faith, and a style built from boots and turquoise as much as algorithms.

In their own words
“You're seeing me be sick for the whole time that we're married and not finding out what was wrong until this year. I barely found out what was wrong with me. I was struggling that whole time feeling like I was going to die.”

“It just sucks because I'm 24 years old, I should be in my prime, I should be able to carry my suitcase up the stairs, I should be able to walk to the mailbox, or run, and those are just things that I can't really do right now.”
