I don't really follow the Paralympics, but my nephew sent me a clip years back of that Beijing marathon finish, the wheelchair one, silver medal, and I never forgot it. Heard on the news tonight he passed in Okinawa, age 55. A truck hit him while he was out training, that's just... I don't know what to say to that. Sat at the piano a while after, played through some hymns, trying to settle my mind. 55 is no age at all. Praying for his people tonight. Edit: sorry, rambling, just moved by this one more than I expected.
