Jim Henson created the Muppets, gave the world Kermit the Frog, and helped shape Sesame Street. The Muppet Show, The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth followed. He died suddenly of a bacterial infection at 53.

My grandmother loved Jim. When she died we played their work at the funeral. Now they're both gone. Strange how connected it all is.
