Mikhail Gorbachev introduced glasnost and perestroika, allowed the Berlin Wall to fall without a shot, and presided over the end of the Soviet Union. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1990 and died in Moscow at 91.

Mikhail once said something in an interview that changed how I thought about my own work. I've never forgotten it.
