Read his obituary this morning with my coffee and could not stop thinking about the part where it says he retold his favorite stories to anyone who would listen. That is a whole life right there. 79 years and still telling stories, that is something.

Never followed his work closely, but that GPS collar tracking he pioneered changed how conservation gets done everywhere, not just with elephants. 83 years old, that's a full life given to something real.
