Called my mom in Akron and she already knew. Said Marilyn Slaby held that same House seat her own husband once had, appointed twice to it. 86 years old, my mom just kept saying that number.

51 years old, that's what got me, I keep thinking about that number all afternoon. I run a little import business out of Charlotte and years back a supplier in Jeddah sent me a video just to explain what the call to prayer sounded like before we did business together, said listen to this first, and it was him, the fajr call from that big mosque, and I never forgot it even though I'm not Muslim myself, never will be, but a voice is a voice and that one stuck with me for going on ten years now. Read he gave that same call the morning he died, didn't even know it was his last one. Anyway. Didn't mean to write all that, just sat with me longer than I expected.
