I only knew her through the ban the box law, read about it years ago for a paper on reentry programs. My mom works with people coming out of prison and she quoted that line to me once, that a minor offense shouldn't mean a lifetime of punishment. Heard she'd died while I was on the phone with her tonight and we just sat with it a while.

My dad used to pull out his old slides from a trip to Barcelona just to show us the SEAT dining halls, said it was the cleanest steel and glass he'd ever seen outside of Mies himself. 1957, the Reynolds Award. I only found out decades later the architect had become a priest. Strange, full life.
